Historic Richmond Bridge - the oldest bridge in Australia! On our own property you are welcome to wander to your hearts content and explore the farm animals, orchard, vineyard, olive grove and on down to the Coal River where you may be lucky enough to see some of our native animals, including echidna, wallaby, possum or platypus. Guests are welcome to participate in farm and garden activities, including feeding the animals, picking of fruit, berries and vegetables, tending to the animals, hay carting etc.

We are in easy reach of

  • Historic Richmond village is just down the road. Richmond is described as the best preserved Georgian village in Australia, and has many old buildings, including the oldest bridge in Australia and the oldest Catholic church in Australia. You can easily spend a day exploring the historic buildings, riverfront walks and visiting the galleries and shops. Children and adults alike will enjoy feeding the ducks at the river bank.

  • The Coal Valley is renowned for its good quality wines, fresh produce and history, and a pleasant days outing can be had visiting the local wineries, apricot and cherry orchards in-season.

  • Wildlife parks, including Bonorong (for native Australian animals), and Zoo Doo for a range of native, exotic and farm animals, including Bengal Tigers and White African Lions

  • The attractions of Hobart are only 25 minutes drive away, including MONA, Historic buildings and walks, vibrant waterfront, Cadbury Chocolate Factory, Cascade Brewery, Botanic gardens, Mount Wellington, and Salamanca Market (amongst others)
